Chelsea in Bloom returns on Monday 25 May for another week of floral beauty around Chelsea. Running until Saturday 25 May, this year’s theme is ‘Under the Sea’ and Chelsea in Bloom is planning to be bigger and better with more displays set to appear along King’s Road than ever before. With the return of Chelsea Flower Show on Tuesday 21 May until Saturday 25 May, there will be plenty of floral delights to enjoy around Chelsea. Bluebird in Bloom’s afternoon tea in partnership with Crosstown Doughnuts sounds amazing.
Also happening this month is Partridges’ Chelsea Bun Bake-Off to celebrate World Chelsea Bun Day on Saturday 4 May. Anyone can enter and there are five categories to consider, including junior baker (12 or under), young bake-off wannabes (25 and under), have-a-go grown-ups, business & professionals, and over 65s. You can enter your buns from midday on Friday 3 May until 11am on Saturday 4 May. Judging will start at 12pm and the winners will be announced at 2pm on 4 May. To enter, download this form.
It’s Cinco de Mayo this Sunday and there are a couple of tequila bars in Chelsea to head to. Azteca is the place to be on King’s Road and if you want to dance the night away, Tonteria‘s Cinco de Mayo party kicks off at 11pm.
And finally, if you haven’t visited Saatchi Gallery recently don’t miss their current exhibitions which are ending this month. Kaleidoscope is a fun and inspiring experience for everyone and it runs until 6 May while the immersive virtual reality exhibition, We Live in an Ocean of Air finishes the day before on 5 May.
