Florence & The Machine played at The O2 last week and I had the amazing opportunity to go and see them thanks to a kind invitation from the team at Debenhams.
The night was electric. Florence was a powerhouse of creative energy who beared her heart and soul on the stage; the rawness of her performance and artistry were both mesmerising.
To get ready for the event, I picked an outfit from Debenhams and my inspiration was a no-brainer. Florence’s elevated vintage style was at the heart of my choice along with my favourite TV series, which Florence has featured in many times at the most dramatic moments.
So I looked for Gossip Girl designer alumni who were available in Debenhams. My first choice was a gorgeous and very ‘Florence’ dress from MW by Matthew Williamson, which had sold out while I was browsing online. I have since learned to listen to my gut instinct as soon as it screams out to me.
Luckily while shopping on Oxford Street I came across this Renaissance floral dress from Studio by Preen. And I grabbed it.
The evening started with the starbursts on Sloane Square and it ended with the magical sounds from Florence & The Machine. Along the way, I had a great night meeting with and reconnecting with some amazing bloggers.
It had been quite a busy week until then but there’s nothing like live music to lift the spirits and reenergise the body to help it get to the weekend, especially when it comes to Florence & The Machine’s life-affirming music.
A huge thank you to the fantastic team at Debenhams who were the loveliest folks and made sure we all had a great time. Thank you guys!
