When you’re walking along the King’s Road, you might see a statue of a man whose legacy continues to the present day. From the seeds of the British Museum and the Natural History Museum to perhaps your favourite winter warmer, Sir Hans Sloane was responsible for introducing drinking chocolate to England in the 17th century after discovering cocoa in Jamaica upon his travels.
So it goes without saying that my first recommendation for Chocolate Week celebrations has to be Hans’ Bar & Grill on Pavilion Road. Here, Sir Hans Sloane’s legacy can even be enjoyed in the form of a Chocolate Martini and other various cocktails. You’ll be spoilt by a great selection of chocolate desserts and the hot drinking chocolate menu is divine; and luckily available beyond Chocolate Week.
Another favourite chocolate spot is Bread Ahead, also on Pavilion Road. Be it for their amazing chocolate doughnuts, their divine brownies or their own hot chocolate creation, chocolate fiends will also be very happy here.
But if you are looking for sweet treats to take home then Rococo Chocolates on King’s Road is chocolate heaven. Chocolate sourced from the Caribbean and crafted by skilled chocolatiers in London, Rococo Chocolates’ luxury British chocolates are as much about their mouthwatering flavours as well as their creative designs.
There are a thousand and one reasons to pop in, especially with their new spacious layout. I just love it in here.
