Skin spring clean at QMS Medicosmetics

I feel like I’ve been putting my body through a bit of a spring clean recently. Over the weekend, I took a yoga class and spent some time in my gym’s spa; I returned to Organic Burst for part of my morning ritual (which I will be blogging about very soon); and last week, my face received what felt like a veritable spring clean from QMS Medicosmetics.

QMS MedicosmeticsIf you’ve read my past posts on QMS Medicosmetics, you will already know about the science behind this skincare brand:

The foundation of QMS Medicosmetics’s products is based on the works of its innovator, Dr. med. Erich Schulte, who has developed collagen enhancing technology for his regenerative skincare range.” Read more.

You will also know that Dr. med. Erich Schulte has developed a range of products specifically designed for pregnant women. I tried the Body Performance Duo by QMS MediCosmetics. And for the record, I don’t have a single stretch mark on my post-pregnancy body. Amazing stuff!

My most recent visit however focused less on my body and more on my face. As a working mother of a very bouncy baby boy, I find it easy to neglect my skin. In fact, I had learned from the therapist that my face was very dehydrated. My skin was drinking all the wonderful potions she was putting onto it. You could say that my skin was enjoying its own type of cocktail: though unlike the boozy kind, the various products from QMS Medicosmetics could only nourish it with goodness.

So what delights did my skin soak up to bring it back to life? My treatment included:

  • Cleansing and analysing the skin
  • Exfoliation with fruit acids and enzymes
  • Steaming the face to open up the pores and purify the skin
  • Extraction
  • Applying an algae mask to lift the impurities from my skin
  • Applying collagen with oxygen to provide the skin with essential ingredients, channeling them deeper to brighten and hydrate the skin
  • Lymphatic draining massage on the face
  • Applying the Activator Mask to hydrate, plump and refresh the face
  • A neck, shoulder and hand massage
  • Moisturising the face

The whole 90-minutes were blissful. I even fell asleep a couple of times and picked up some great tips from the therapist, one of them being how to stop my face from becoming dehydrated. Exfoliation is a crucial process and so is of course, hydration. And I can’t recommend the QMS Hydro Foam Mask enough. It leaves my skin feeling soft and fresh. I love it!
