Gail’s Bakery Delights

So, it’s safe to say that when Gail’s Bakery opened on Fulham Road that I was going to spend a lot of time in there.

Firstly, because it is full of yummy delights; secondly because it is located around the corner from where I live; and thirdly because it is positioned right opposite my gym. In other words there is no escaping it, especially given that the first day it had opened folks in my spin class were already discussing the free samples which they had tasted just before coming into the class.

But luckily, it’s not all cakes and croissants in there. I’m a big fan of their salads and love having lunch at Gail’s.

I had this quinoa with chorizo and chicken salad the other day. I was so pleased to see quinoa on the shelf because I find that it’s so difficult to find on menus in London. Quinoa was everywhere in New York ten years ago and it still hasn’t hit the mainstream over here. Hopefully, this is a sign that things are about to change.

The fact that Gail’s has free secured wi-fi also helps. It’s an easy spot to hole up in, whatever the weather thanks to the skylight.

So far, my favourite cakes have been the chocolate soufflé …

And the carrot cake …

I’m not a big coffee drinker because I struggle to find good coffee when I’m out and about but Gail’s espresso is very good.

If you haven’t had a chance to pop in yet, here are a couple of photos of the venue …

And for the yummy mummies …

Gail’s cakes are very good and I guess it is my saving grace that my gym is across the road. At least one can compliment the other and I can continue to pop in here guilt-free!

Gail’s is located at 341 Fulham Road, SW10.

Wow looks an amazing space and the cakes look too gorgeous!

I’ll have to try it on my next London trip.

Hi Lisa, it really has become a popular local haunt and so quickly. It’s a great place to hang out and so delicious. Maybe we can catch up there when you’re next in town?
