On Tuesday evening I went along to a drinks party at HRW Antiques, which was being held in aid of the MS Society.
The setting for the evening was magical.
And I was there to support a charity that affects people I love and care about. The first time I had really come across MS was when an old friend was diagnosed with it a few years back.
I then realised that MS isn’t something that is discussed openly and that there is relatively little awareness and understanding about what it actually is – and how sufferers’ lives are affected.
Even now, I can’t pretend to know too much about it. I am always learning as developments are continuously occurring from the medical field. But I did read an insightful post from Liberty London Girl, which I would like to point you towards. If you’d like to find out more about Multiple Sclerosis, here it is.
On Tuesday night, a member from the MS Society spoke to a crowd of interior designers who had gathered to demonstrate their support – and as the champagne flowed, we all remembered why we were there.
It was a touching evening in the company of some fantastic people and I was very grateful to be invited.
