This is a bit of a cheat post because I wasn’t actually at this party on Thursday night.
I was meant to be but I was a good girl and put worky commitments first. There’s so much to get done before I go on hols. – and when I’m back, I can’t wait for you to find out about one of the projects I’ve been working on. If you love fashion, you might love this. I digress.
The reason why I still wanted to post something about Thursday night is so I can raise a virtual glass to Rhea Thierstein and her Fabergé Egg which is being housed at Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel in Belgravia as part of The Big Egg Hunt.
I was also keen to meet Rhea because I love what she’s already achieved: she seems like a true creative wonder.
As her bio goes: “Rhea was tipped by Vogue (having worked on their fashion spreads with Tim Walker) as ‘one to watch’, and called ‘a creative changing the face of fashion’ by The Independent. She has been creating sets, costumes and props for Mulberry, Bombay Sapphire, American, British and Italian Vogue, Vanity Fair, Wallpaper, Pop, W and Another Maazine. As well as being involved in stills projects, Rhea has also created a window for Selfridges, designed Tim Walker’s film premier dinner at Claridge’s andart directed the music video ‘Price Tag’ for award winning artist Jessie J.” – Cool, hey?
At the party, there were canapés and bubbles …
And to get a taste of the evening, here are a few snapshots of the guests …
I’m sorry I couldn’t be there in person but here’s a *clink* to Rhea Thierstein and her fabulous egg. I can’t wait to see what she produces next.
In the meantime, Rhea’s egg will be on display at Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel until the Easter weekend. If you are in the Belgravia area, do check it out!
